If you weren't able to join our SDR week which was held from 7-11 November 2022, here's everything you need to know about it.
We know amateur radio is the most obvious association to our SDRlab 122-16, but did you know this product can be used in:
We want to show you how versatile SDRlab 122-16 is and that's why we decided to dedicate a whole week to it. The goal of this week's activities is to show you that Red Pitaya's SDRlab 122-16 is more than just a simple tool and can be used by industrial clients and even universities for a variety of different projects.
During this week we presented a few examples of how SDRlab 122-16 was used in different fields, starting with medical, where SDRlab was used to control low-field MRI applications. Read more about this case study here.
Secondly, we presented a case study from the oil and gas industry. This project was developed by our client Longpath Technologies which uses patented, Nobel Prize-winning, long-range laser networks to provide the lowest cost detection and quantification of specific emissions sources across large areas. In the words of LongPath Technologies co-founder and VP Engineering Robert Wright: »Red Pitaya has been critical in transitioning our system from a proof-of-concept, laboratory instrument to a field-hardened industrial tool.«
This is just another example of SDRlab being used in advanced industrial applications. Read the full story here.
Last but not least, we showcased a case study in which the authors demonstrate how Red Pitaya's SDRlab 122-16 enables the monitoring of HF radio wave reflection in the ionosphere – by implementing chirp ionosondes – accessible to low-to-medium-budget projects. Read all about this project here.
We wanted to thank everyone for joining our SDR week and hopefully, you got a better understanding of the wide possibilities of use that SDRlab 122-16 offers.
