The new Red Pitaya OS 2.07-48 (December 2025 release) has arrived — and it’s a major step forward.
This update delivers significant performance gains, redesigned WEB apps, a rebuilt streaming ecosystem, and powerful new API and SCPI capabilities across the entire Red Pitaya platform.

If you rely on Red Pitaya for real-time measurement, signal processing, automation, or research, this release brings tangible improvements you’ll feel immediately.

A Big Leap in Performance and User Experience

At the core of OS 2.07-48 is a massive performance boost across all WEB applications, powered by new OpenGL-based rendering. The result is faster load times, smoother interaction, and more responsive visuals — especially noticeable in data-heavy applications like Spectrum Analyzer and Logic Analyzer.

Redesigned and Enhanced WEB Applications

Several key WEB apps received major upgrades:

Spectrum Analyzer

  • Fully redesigned interface

  • Faster, smoother rendering

  • Improved responsiveness for real-time analysis

Impedance Analyzer & LCR

  • Zoom and marker support

  • Expanded measurement range

  • Improved usability for precision work

Logic Analyzer

  • New filters and protocol updates

  • Major stability improvements

  • Better reliability in long capture sessions

Oscilloscope & Triggering

  • Dual-channel internal triggering options

  • More flexible acquisition workflows

Streaming Ecosystem — Completely Rebuilt

Streaming has been reworked from the ground up in OS 2.07-48, unlocking new workflows for data-heavy applications:

  • New DAC streaming

  • Official Python and C++ streaming libraries

  • Data export to WAV and TDMS

  • Improved stability and performance for continuous acquisition

This makes Red Pitaya even more capable for long-term monitoring, ML pipelines, and custom signal-processing applications.

Powerful New SCPI & API Features

Advanced users will appreciate the expanded low-level control:

  • Split-trigger support now available on all boards
  • Filter bypass options

  • Zero-copy DMA access for maximum performance

  • Additional SCPI and API extensions across apps

These updates give developers more speed, more flexibility, and more direct access to hardware resources.

Broader Hardware Support

OS 2.07-48 expands compatibility and stability for:

  • Gen 2 STEMlab boards

  • TI-based models

This ensures a consistent experience across the growing Red Pitaya hardware ecosystem.
